$50 For Soggy Fries And Regret? No Thanks! Do This Instead...

Hi there Reader,

I want to start off today with the fact that I am forever grateful to those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. May we live in a way that honors their sacrifice, today and every day. 🇺🇸

It's Sunday afternoon as I'm writing this email. In church this morning, our pastor had people stand who knew someone who passed away while serving this country. It brings it home for me, and we can never forget. If you knew someone, my prayers go out to you and your family.

These seven casseroles are cozy, flavorful, and honestly taste better than anything you’d get at a chain restaurant — and you can make them in your own kitchen with pantry basics. No complicated steps. No waiting on delivery. Just real food, your people will ask for again and again.
📌 Print 'em, pin 'em, or make one tonight — they’re that good.

🏠 From Your Heart & Home

We've been sharing our goof-ups in the past few Monday emails, and Terry sent this in last week. She said she spilled... "this easy-open bottle of red wine. Yep, I really took it off the pantry shelf and promptly dropped the bottle onto the tile floor. Wine and tiny pieces of glass were scattered all over the kitchen. Amazing how far little tiny pieces of glass can travel!"

We've all been there...and finding shards of glass for days!

Delicious Dinner

Tammy said, "I wanted to let you know I made one of your recipes today for dinner. I started with an 8 lb Pork Shoulder Butt Roast, and after everyone ate this is all that was left. Everyone loved it. My son is coming by after he gets off work to eat some for dinner too."

Tammy also had leftovers for lunch the next day! We love how these meals stretch for you and make your life easier!

This week, I want to hear from you.
What’s one dish that always brings you comfort, no matter what kind of day you’ve had?

Reply and tell me. I’d love to feature one of your stories in next week’s Heart and Home.

Happy Cooking! Julie Pollitt

Hi there Reader, When you hear “just five ingredients,” do your ears perk up too? If you’re like me, you don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen—or hunt down 20 ingredients you’ll never use again. That’s why I think you’ll love this recipe: chances are, you already have everything you need. If you keep a bottle of BBQ sauce in the pantry (I always do—it’s a lifesaver), you’re halfway there. This Crock Pot chicken comes out tender and juicy, smothered in that sweet, tangy BBQ sauce we all...

Hi there Reader, Y'aaalll, it's hot outside. 🔥 Record highs are keeping all of us inside and close to the air conditioner. I broke a sweat walking 20 feet to the mailbox! It's brutal. So, this is one of my favorite dishes to make and it doesn't heat up the kitchen, because we don't need any more heat! 5-Ingredient Crock Pot Mississippi Pork Chops And it only takes about five minutes to get it in the crock and cooking! That is a dinner I can get behind. Plus, it tastes amazing! If you don't...
